Flood
Nepal and Bangladesh are highly vulnerable to climate-induced disasters due to their unique geography and socio-economic conditions. Moreover, the limited availability of data, particularly at the household level in Nepal and Bangladesh, has resulted in less accurate disaster risk assessment, consequently leading to poor disaster management plans, early warning systems, awareness, and preparedness measures. To effectively address and anticipate climate-induced disasters, it is crucial to assess the risk among vulnerable populations in Nepal and Bangladesh at the household level. Unlike traditional approaches such as community-based assessments, which often overlook individual household risks, household-level assessment improves the effectiveness and accuracy of risk assessment.
